Danielle Wertz is an internationally recognized jazz vocalist, composer, arranger and educator from Falls Church, Virginia. After being named a semi-finalist in the 2015 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition, she self-released a duo project, Intertwined, that was recorded at ABC Studios in Sydney, Australia, and has been receiving high praise since its 2017 release.
Danielle currently lives in Northern California and is quickly gaining recognition as one of the Bay Area’s most in-demand vocalists. As she continues to focus more on original compositions and arrangements, Danielle is looking forward to releasing her first album with a full band in November 2020.
Danielle has also had the privilege of working and performing with many world class musicians including Cyrille Aimée, Gretchen Parlato, Kate McGarry, Keith Ganz, Chris Botti, Bruce Hornsby, Michael Bowie, Martin Bejerano, Claire Daly, Lena Seikaly, Mark G. Meadows, Chris Grasso, Champian Fulton, Dave Stryker and Claudio Roditi.
From renowned concert halls, performing arts centers and music venues, Danielle has performed on stages of all sizes: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Arsht Center, Blues Alley, Black Cat SF, The Mansion at Strathmore, The Carlyle Club, Bethesda Blues and Jazz, Twins Jazz, Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club, and St. Petersburg Jazz Philharmonic Hall.
