This masterclass will explore methods with which time, and particularly Indian rhythmic cycles, can be internalized and provide room for the flexibility contemporary improvised music calls for. Oded's quartet will perform and discuss their approach to internalizing this material.

Oded Tzur is a New York City based saxophonist, composer and bandleader. His work draws on Indian classical music and jazz, and explores fundamental connections between different musical traditions.
